The salon has been in operation for over 32 years and Michel himself has worked in the Edgware Road area for over 36 years. He was born just outside Rome in Italy and has worked both in Italy and central London salons before opening his own salon in Edgware Road London.

At one time he owned a group of 7 salons in the central London area but now has reduced it down to just 2 salons. His training was completed in Rome but he has done various hair colouring, cutting and styling courses both here in London and abroad.

PRODUCTS USED IN THE SALON
We are a Kerastase L’Oreal Premier salon (this means we are one of the top selling Kerastase salons in the London area). Kerastase is our preferred back wash product (shampoos, conditioners, masques, treatments etc). We also use Kerastase styling products in the salon along with Redken, Paul Mitchell and Nexus Phyto Organics. We use only L’Oreal colours including Majirel, Majiblond, Majicontrast, Diacolor Richesse, Diacolor, Luo Colour and their new ammonia free Inoa colour. We use Beox Brazilian Straightening system along with their Beox home care range shampoo and conditioner to maintain the hair at home after the straightening process.

HAIR EXTENSIONS
We use only 100% real hair extensions and buy our hair from reputable companies such as Great Lengths, Pro-Styles or Balmain depending on the budget of the client. This work is guaranteed between a period of 2-3 months depending on which make of hair. Prices are quoted after full consultation with a stylist.

BRAZILIAN HAIR STRAIGHTENING
There are various straightening systems on the market now. In previous times it was mainly afro hair that was straightened. Now many people with unruly, unmanageable hair want to have their hair straightened.

YUKO HAIR STRAIGHTENING
This is a Japanese system and is known as a permanent straightening system. It has been around for many years. The application process takes 3-4 hours to complete and lasts up to 3 months. It works by breaking down the bonds in the hair. As the hair grows you will see the hair growing back to its previous condition, the process then is redone and applied to the roots only. Cost again is variable according to the length and thickness of the hair.

L’OREAL X-TEMSO CERA THERMIC SYSTEM
This again is a permanent straightening system launched by L’Oreal a few years ago. It is a similar process to the Yuko system but not quite as complicated. This process takes approx 2-3 hour and lasts like the Yuko system.

HAIR RELAXERS
There are various relaxers on the market and these are used to straighten afro hair. The process take 1-2 hours to complete. Brazilian Keratin Treatment

This is now a very popular de-frizzing system. There are many different makes on the market but we use a product called Beox. This protein treatment covers the surface of the hair and helps to defrizz the hair. The main advantage to this system is that it can be used on Hi lighted hair. All the other straightening systems cannot be used on hi lighted hair. This system is known by many names including Keratin treatment, Brazilian Straightening System, Brazilian Blow dry, Permanent Blow dry and many other similar names.

PERMS
We use mainly L’Oreal perms in our salon and there are different perms for different hair types. At this moment in time it is not a particularly popular service.

HAIR COLOURING (INCLUDING Hi LIGHTS AND LOW LIGHTS)
We use only L’Oreal colours in our salon and have the complete range of colours in each product range. The latest innovation from L’Oreal is their new Inoa colour which was 10 years in the development stage. L’Oreal was the first big company to market an ammonia free hair colour. It is particularly good for clients with problem scalps. Many of our clients have now converted over to the new Inoa range for their hair. For Hi Lights and Low lights we use L’Oreal Majiblond and L’Oreal bleach. Our Hi lights are done in foil and we also do free hand hi lights.

COLOUR CORRECTION AND COLOUR CHANGE
This is a specialised area and we have experts who can do colour correction. This is when the colour has gone wrong. Perhaps a client has attempted to do his or her own hair at home. Colour change is when the client requires a more dramatic change of colour from their own national colour base.

BLOW DRY
We have excellent stylists who can work wonders with the hair and achieve excellent blow dry results. We cater for all hair lengths and can blow dry both straight and curly/wavy.

HAIR CUTS (MEN, WOMEN AND CHILDREN)
We cater for men, women and children in our salon. All our staff have many years experience of hair cutting techniques and all have been on various hair cutting courses including Vidal Sassoon, Tony and Guy and L’Oreal hair courses to keep their skills up to date.

DRESSING OF LONG HAIR
Again we have excellent stylist to cater for long hair. Especially for those special occasions such as weddings and parties.

BIOLUSTRE TREATMENT
This is now becoming a popular treatment for the hair. It is a pure Keratin treatment and helps to reconstruct damaged hair and bring it back to its original healthy state. Plus it brings a healthy shine to the hair. This is particularly good for hair that has had chemical processes such as colours, Hi lights etc. The process takes 1-2 hours depending on length and thickness of the hair. The treatment last a few months. The price is again dependent on the length and thickness of the hair. This is an in-salon treatment only, but there are take home after care packs of shampoo and conditioner available in the Biolustre range.

L’OREAL CHRONOLOGISTE TREATMENT
This is a fairly new treatment launched by L’Oreal. It is a deep intensive treatment to enrich the hair. It is suitable for dry hair and hair that has had chemical processes. This is an in-salon treatment but there is also a take home pack.
